CHARACTER
NAME: Razor
CANON: Genshin Impact
CANON POINT: Post Dishonorable Trial
BACKGROUND: here
SUITABILITY: Razor is a character who struggles with a lot of identity issues. Questioning his wolven heritage but denying his human one, he is unsure as to 'what' he is and where he fits in with other people. While he receives assistance from this from his canon bonds, defining himself is still a task Razor finds himself unable to overcome quite yet. Together with the youkai influence as well as the opportunities for other bonds in-game, I'm hoping to make it a bit easier for him to discover who he is as a person.

In addition, it would be good to challenge his morality. Razor is somebody who prefers helping others and doing the right thing, and he isn't a stranger to harming others if they pose a threat. That being said, the influences of other people's youkai might prove a bit of a problem for him. That being said, Razor is nothing but not determined to prove himself useful and strong, so he'll do his best to make the best of it...although there's no guarantee it'll work out. On that note, Hakagemachi is a city, which is severely out of Razor's element- he's lived in the forest, hunted for food for a living, and slept with the comfort of his pack by his side. He can do none of this here, so he'll likely be disoriented and need proper guidance on how to properly get by in a more modernish setting, especially since he finds noisiness and crowds uncomfortable.

QUESTIONNAIRE:

Your character finds an injured okami deep in the woods. Its leg is broken, trapped under a fallen tree, but it’s clearly in good health otherwise. They know this type of youkai is able to discern the morality of their past actions, and can turn hostile to them based off that judgment. What do they do?

Without a doubt, he would help it. Besides the one he hunts for food, Razor feels more of a kinship with animals, and has a good heart enough heart that he wouldn't ignore somebody in need. The Okami being a wolf would only cement his decision, as wolves are the thing he was raised around and consider his family- opposing packs can't quite be trusted most of the time, but if it wasn't openly hostile at first, he would even do his best to attempt to treat their broken leg to the best of his abilities.

He would have enough confidence in himself that he wouldn't think it would attack him, but even on the off-chance that it would, he would still attempt to help. If he was attacked, he would simply run off after lifting the branch, confident in it's ability to help itself now that it's free.

Your character's worst enemy asks to meet alone by moonlight in a remote location, to discuss temporarily banding together against a larger threat. How do they respond to the invitation?

Razor does not tend to make strong enemies, only doing so with people who are a danger to his friends and his family, but he would likely have doubts about even meeting them somewhere alone. He naturally smells danger and is distrustful of those who have proven themselves to be a threat, and would not trust their intentions fully. Were he to finally approach and hear them out, the answer would most likely be no.

Depending on the situation, Razor prefers to get stronger, and tries to handle things either himself or with his friends and those he trusts. He be unsure of teaming up with someone he thinks he cannot trust, as it would likely put them in more danger. In addition, if they had severely hurt someone he cared about, he would never even consider it. He would not be able to forgive it easily, and would take the feelings of said person into account when deciding.

Your character has the option to lead a rampaging oni away from path where it would find and attack a lone, inhabited farmhouse. However, the only road they can distract it down leads to the city, where it will inevitably do more damage. What do they choose to do?

Razor would simply do neither- while he would lure it away from the big city, there isn't a chance he'd let it reach the farmhouse itself if he could help it. He'd be more than willing to pull out the stops to try and fight it himself, preventing it from hurting anyone unnecessarily. He's fought heavily to protect other people before, and he'd gladly do it again, even if he gets seriously hurt in the process. It would simply be a lesson to be stronger.

If he wouldn't be able to defeat it, at the very least he'd try his best to create enough of a commotion that whoever was in the general area would take the hint and flee while they had the chance.

A shrine of a powerful god offers your character a unique boon crafted to overcome the biggest challenge they’re currently facing. In return, it only asks to be able to possess your character for a 24 hour span of its choosing, which they will not necessarily get warning for. How do they feel about the exchange, and more importantly, do they accept it?

This is something wholly dependent on the type of god. Razor would no doubt question what it's intentions are if it possesses him first and foremost, as he wouldn't want to take anything that would be a possible risk to his family and friends. As long as it wasn't something to do harm, there's a chance he might consent if it would mean saving/helping those he cares about and the world at large. He may be cautious, but he's not entirely selfish, and wants to be strong to be able to protect those he cares about first and foremost.

However, if they couldn't guarantee that, he'd likely decline. He'd like to get stronger on his own terms, work hard for the sake of his Lupical, and he wouldn't want to do something that could potentially end with them hurt despite his best efforts. The risk would outweigh the reward, and it's not one he'd be willing to take.
